Berkeley homes specified custom one-strip non-slip Cumaru decking for the Taplow Riverside development. With a picturesque waterfront location along the River Thames and Jubilee River, Taplow Riverside offers a range of luxury homes and apartments. The new development is surrounded by large open areas of meadows with ponds and riverside walks, dotted with viewing platforms and picnic areas.
As is often the case with sites located near water, the project required naturally durable timber to ensure a long in-service life. Cumaru is classified within BS EN 350-2 as Class 1 Very Durable with a 25+ year expected in-service life. Gripsure’s Hardwood also carries a 15-year non-slip performance warranty ensuring safe use, whatever the weather, for years to come.
We supplied more than 10,000 linear meters of non-slip Cumaru decking to Taplow Riverside. It was predominantly used for 58 balconies on the Jubilee Wharf and Jubilee Mill Apartments. These spacious luxury homes offer the best in modern living and are bordered by open countryside, with some balconies offering stunning views of the Jubilee River.
The remainder of non-slip decking was supplied for homes with private Thames moorings. This gave our client peace of mind and an attractive and durable non-slip finish.
