Penwarne Manor is an 18th century building nestled in the Portmellon valley on the unspoilt coast of South Cornwall. Privately owned, the manor hosts five Grade II listed stone self-catering holiday cottages. Each one has been lovingly renovated to an extremely high standard.
The vision for the renovation was to provide luxury accommodation, while retaining the historical integrity of the building. The owners of the manor worked closely with architects, conservation officers, and local trade specialists such as Cornish wallers. They also appointed local suppliers, including Gripsure, to make sure they got the finish right.
"The reason we used non-slip decking is because we needed something that was safe, long lasting, maintenance-free and which looked good. Gripsure fitted those requirements and we are very happy with the product and the level of service we received".
The holiday cottages accommodate couples, families and group holidays. The reverse-level accommodation allows the open-plan living space to be flooded with sunlight and provide the best views. The folding glass doors of each cottage open out onto a decked area leading to private gardens.
